Where in the World is Dorena, Oregon?

Contrary to some reports you can get to Dorena, Oregon from wherever you are, even if you can't find it on an Oregon map. It is a big lake and a little town located just a few miles east of Interstate 5 at Cottage Grove Exit 174 about 20 miles south of Eugene.

We are primarily a mail order company, but also have a retail store that is open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Saturday.  We are closed Sundays and most Holidays. Some Sundays we are available and will open for you if you call for an appointment.  We have items in our store that we can't carry to the shows or are unable to list in the catalog.  Those wonderful new things that Bud keeps ordering.  So if you are traveling up or down I-5 we would love to have you stop.  We are located right next to a county park by the same name (Baker Bay) that has a boat launch, swimming, camping, fishing and all the other good stuff that comes second after beading.  Also check our website to see our schedule of shows and catch us in an area close to you.

Here is how you get to our door.  Travel I-5 north or south (it goes both ways) to Cottage Grove where you take Exit 174 (It is the exit that says Cottage Grove and Dorena Lake). Regardless of whether you are traveling north or south you go to the signal light and turn left.    The name of the road is Row River Road.  Follow the signs to Dorena Lake and Baker Bay on this main road. At about 4 miles, without any effort on your part, the name of the road changes to Shoreview Drive.

Travel about 3 miles farther.  Along the way you will see Dorena Lake and your left, the road is some what curvy.  Watch for the signs to Baker Bay County Park, there is a left turn lane at the park entrance.

Continue past that but very slowly because you want to turn left at the very next road immediately after the row of mailboxes and a high wood fence.

It is important to remember to drive slowly at the park entrance because it is such a short distance. The park entrance, a house with high fence and a row of mailboxes in front, and our road in about 100 feet. It is a small road that goes down the hill toward the lake and serves only four places. We are the large gray building second on the right.
